I have a 7.2 MP digital camera. When I upload the images to Photoshop, they show up as 72 pixels/inch by default. How can I have them at 300 pixels/inch? I bought the camera, so I could start doing posters. |

It's due to the size, go to image size untick resample image and just change the res to 300, the size will change to suit. Wayne |

That works. Why is it that some of the images are already at 300 pixel/inch by default? Is there a way that I could have an uploaded image at 300 pixels by default? |

it is the way how the camera stores the .jpg files. .jpgs are divided up into three color channels RGB. If a camera would store a file at 300 DPI then you would ONLY have enough room for MAYBE 3 or four photos on ONE 1GB flash memory card from your 7.2 MP camera. That is why .JPG's are set to DEFAULT at 72 DPI for storage reasons. It's the same with the .RAW and .TIFF files settings. You cannot change that - sorry to say. :-( _________________ Qubert |

I doubt theres any options to change the way it stores them, a bigger card will let you stroe more photos but won't alter the way they are stored. Wayne |
