well first you must find a picture you want, and make that the bottom layer.

Create a new layer on top of that and fill it in with a solid color.

After filling this new layer, select the text tool and type in whatever you want your picture to say.

Reasterize the text layer (right click on it in the layer controls and select reasterize layer)

type ctl + e to merge this text layer down to the solid color layer.

Make a selection of the text and the use cut or delete on it.

save your file as something that will merge the layers (or merge them yourself)

take the merged version and select an area around the text you want, put it in a new file and select all the solid color, delete and voila, you have your text. :)

There are probally faster ways, but this is the one I came up with.

yes (im just learning photoshop) but i think if u make a new text box for each letter that works. then just put the different letter layers together on the background

But those are on a background. I think it looks nicer with just the image in the text with no background. I wrote a tute if anyone is interested.

well the images were smaller, but with full size images there areno problems, I just did that to show them there, if they were englarged then there wouldnt be abackground, or at least they'd be the background and you could remove them from the black background. :) im a little lazy
