Hi folks,

A total newbie here on CS2. What's different between these 2 tools(Pen and Laso tool)? I can use laso to cut out the pictures and at the same time, the Pen tools also can do the same. Sorry for the newbie question.

TIA

The pen tool is a little more accurate than the lasso simply because of the manner in which you use it, but it also takes awhile.

yeah if u just use the lasso... you will have jagged edges, unless you have ULTIMATE mouse control. Using the pen tool and paths, is the closest to vector (besides smart objects) photoshop gets. I would always recommend using the pen over the lasso any day. Like haunus said, it takes a while, but it is well worth it. So learn how to use the pen, just mess around with it to see how it interacts with things. good luck
