I captured a screenshot from the opening sequence of a DVD that I have.

I extracted the main logo from that because it looked cool & ended up with the pic below.

As you can see from the image, it's too rough & ragged around the edges. I'd prefer to smooth it all out. I tried a few things on it but still didn't get anything that I'm happy with. The Bevel & Emboss feature worked pretty good on it, but the overall look was more 3D.

So does anybody know how, or have any tips on how to go about smoothing & rounding all the edges out without distorting the original image etc. Thanks..

Heres what I did, I enlarged the image first I use select/colour range and selected the red, then select/modify/smooth (I used 8 pixles) then select inverse and delete to get rid of some of the roughness, then resized it back down. Wayne

if you want really smooth edges, use the pen tool to retrace the image.
