HI, again. I do paintings and sometimes need to extend the color around the edge to stretch them on canvas. I've just been cloning the color and extending it. Does anyone know of an easier way to just add about an inch to two inches of existing color to the painting?

Probably cloning is the way I would do it..

Do you just want the colour or to extend the image itself? the colour is easy just click the eyedropper on the colour you want and ctrl+A and edit stroke put a wide stroke in with the foreground colour selected (you may have to make the canvas bigger for a big border. Extending the image is a lot harder, I'd probably use cloning or copy and paste for bigger areas. Wayne

the intrinsic likelihod of extending the image without two clouds looking similar is low. You may want to just paint a bit of sky on a new canvas and clone from that. You don't want somebody to look at it and go "are those two clouds the same?"
don't forget, if you can't mix that exact same colour to paint a bit more sky, you can always tweak it in photoshop after you've scanned/photo'ed it in.

thats a nice painting...is that water color? i've always wanted to paint, but I digress. What they said....or you can copy and paste, but then you will most certainly have similar clouds.
