Please take a look at this site: photoshop trivia Run your mouse over the different colors. Did he use photoshop and just fill in different colors using the same image? or what ???
I need to recreate/make these images. Well, without infringing copyrights, is there an easy way of doing so? Like a master template using layers or something for the colors?
I want to say he photoshoped them but when you get to the chrome pics at the far right you can see the reflections of the controllers. Pretty hard to photoshop that imo. Plus is there a "chrome mirror" color that you can use in photoshop?
Thank you for your help !! |

I would make a new layer above the original then select the areas I want to colour with the lasso tool, then fill these areas with say green (or whatever) change the blend mode to colour. now image>duplicate and save it as green, now making sure your still on the colour layer go to image hue/saturate and slide the hue slider to say red, now image>duplicate again and save as red etc etc etc.
For the reflection just copy and paste the controller then with free transform alter it to look like a reflection, just erase the bits you don't need.
It would probably help to start with a pic of a neutral lightish coloured item as it's easier to add the colour over it. Sorry I can't explain in more detail, but I have a LOT of work to do just now. Wayne |

I when using the lasso tool or even the wand I dont get the edges very well and it leaves a faint outline around the color. It works perfectly when I dont use the wand or lasso but the controller buttons change color too. How do I prevent this? |

Check you havent got a feather set on the top toolbar (just type in 0 if you have) I'm not quite sure I understand about the buttons, have you selected them as well as the surround? if you have when your using the lasso tool there some options on the top toolbar, click on the remove from selection and draw around each button (or just use the eraser tool on the colour layer and erase the colour above the buttons) Wayne |
