For some good reason, I have got myself in a pickle. Whenever I open an image in CS2 in comes in looking very narrow. I have checked the "Pixel Aspect Ratio" and that is set to SQUARE, which is the default. This Narrow configuration is also present in the cloning and other tools. How do I fix this? Could this be something outside of CS2 ?
Thanks for listening to me and I hope someone can help me solve my problem.

Try the "fix many things" solution of trashing your preferences file hold down shift + alt + ctrl as soon as PS starts to load up, let us know how you get on Wayne

Hi Wayne, I wish I could report success, but unfortunately I cannot. I can see where my settings have changed in PS but the images still come in funny. Verticals are too narrow and horizontals are just square.
I have also gone into Internet Explorer and reset back to the defaults just in case that might be the culprit, but that action produced the same result.. Any other suggestions would be most welcome.

I suppose I should have asked this first, are you on a pc or a widescreen laptop? and was it working ok before and has gone "wrong" or was it like this from installing CS2.
Trashing prefes fixes a lot of things so it's always worth a try, if the pics show ok in Windows but not in PS it sounds like a settings issue somewhere, I'll try asking around and see if anybodys come across it before. Wayne

Hi Wayne,
The screen resolution was the problem. I had it set to 1280 x 768. Changed it to 1280 x 1024 and the problem has been fixed. Thanks for your help.
