I'm using a video camera for my pictures right now, the picture quality is not that good, but its not bad either. I'm looking forward to buying a camera to take pictures with. I don't know which one is good... Is this a good camera to get?

Olympus is a good make, and 8mp is good resolution, but visit you local photo store and check out what else is on offer in your price range Check out the Nikon D50 and the Canon Rebel, and handle them, and compare prices, some cameras feel better in the hand than others. I'd also look for reviews on the web Wayne a review below
