Hi guys. Been very busy and haven't posted much.
Let's say I had an image on a green screen and I want to cut out the person. using colourr ange leaves a lot of handwork to be done afterwards. Extract obviously works great, but does take a while. Hasn't there got to be a special way to take out green screens or blue screens?
thanks. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

You could try select colour range, try the eyedropper tool and click on the green, then ajust the slider untill it looks good. Wayne |

YES there is a specail way to remove blue/green screen. It is in the CHANNELS. How do you think Lucas did it in Star Wars episodes 1,2, and 3? A hint, if Lucas DID NOT HAVE the use of Photoshop's Alpha Channels - his team would still be making episode 1 today.
Scott Kelby has a brand new book on how Photoshop's channels work. Do a search for his name on google to find the book. The book is on his site.
Hope that helps! _________________ Qubert |

No Probelm:
If you REALLY want to get in to it there is a teaching site called www.pixelcorps.com You have to pay some money to learn but the rewards are worth it. It is head up by one of the people who worked on Star Wars Episode 1. I have learned alott of very good Photoshop tips from him by watching a show called "Call for Help". His name is Alex Lindsay. Alex is a great teacher! _________________ Qubert |
