Hi there,

I recently got myself an intel iMac, and whilst at first the dip in speed in photoshop wasn't a big issue i discovered another more serious one - Banding of the worst kind. Anything from the gradient tool to brushes etc. creates terrible banding, making it basically unusable.

I have changed my colour profile in every imaginable way (including the 8-bit dithering check box) and nothing seems to solve the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it because of the the PS to Rosetta translation?? I am at my wits end, and with a universal release a year away minimum things are looking pretty bleak. im even considering using *gulp* GIMP.

Anyone advise would be very welcome.

I have heard this before somewhere, wish I could remember where. Is it just when it's open in PS or when you view the images outside PS as well. I think it was something to do with the colour range being displayed in PS but I'm not sure. Sorry thats not very helpfull Wayne
