I was given the attached picture to try and use in a document where there is a huge shadow going across the middle of the picture. Is there anyway to correct this a little in Photoshop?? Thanks in advance!

What version of PS do you have? If CS or CS2, go to Image>Adjustments>Shadow/Highlights.
