hi, I am new in photoshop. i would like to create a text effect that look like printed using ribbon printer. Does anyone has the idea on how to do it? I have attached a text sample for reference.Thanks.[/img]

One way to get that effect is getting a texture image,
then select the Horizontal Type Mask Tool (T), type your text, and then you should see a selection in the shape of your typing then just press
ctrl+shift+i and press delete.
you can still erase the borders of the typing a little with a grunge brush to get that cracked or whatever effect.
