Now that you all have been using CS2 for a while. Is there any advantage over CS? I still have CS and Im trying to decide if its worth it to move up.
I've seen peoples complaints about bridge, but what about the new featurees? Or is bridge the only one? |

I've heard the same about CS2... but so far it has worked ok for me. We bought the full CS2 suite, and had more trouble with Illustrator, Bridge and Acrobat than PS.
CS2 has some really nice features(Smart Objects, Transform Warp, new layers palette), but mightbe ok to wait til CS3. Based on previous versions... will be out in early-mid '07? |

I honestly haven't hardly used msart objects. I'm so used to just keeping stuff big enough or backing it up that i haven't really bothered.
the new layers palette is not better in all situations.
Transform warp is cool, but definately the best part is the perspective clone thingmy. On the adobe website it describes it in detail, but basically you plot out a "3d" plane and then you can clone along it, and whatever you're cloning changes size according to the perspective. it's really cool. I've used it to fill in a missing door on a row of cabinets, take a dog off a deck, and a few other things. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

yeah like they said, some of the new features are pretty cool, but not worth the money to update from cs1. i also bought the entire suite and am really glad i did. it is some great software. So far the only thing i havnt used is golive. But yeah save your money and buy the newer version when that comes out _________________ www.kg-studios.com |

I wonder if the next Adobe Creative Suite will have intergrated Flash and Dreamweaver? Maybe the one after next...
That suite would be sweet. |

I'd imagine they mght have some integraion features, but they will probably keep the suites seperate I'd imagine. They did buy Flash to make money. |

I always found Fireworks similar to Photoshop anyway, so they won't be much improvements there, my biggest hope is they sort out the bugs before CS3 is released. Wayne |
