No matter what the image, a sample from PS or a jpeg I know works just fine, they all open solid black!
I'm using PS 5, but have upgrades to 7.
For years I've used PS to alter images and so on, then suddenly, all images open black!
I uninstalled twice with no luck! Help!
Just today i noticed that if I zoom out (over 200%) on the blackness, I can start to see my image. If I use the hand tool to move it around, each time the image goes past the border, it starts to braek up and disappear!
Thanks for your time,

Video card conflicts?
Hosed monitor profile?
Did this start on upgrade to 7? Have you updated to 7.0.1?
How do the tool bar and palettes look? |

Try updating your VC driver from the maker’s support site.
Run Adobe Gamma.

If you open the pics with 5 or 6 do you have the same problem?
and
Check your monitor settings to make it is displaying TrueColor (millions of colors) |

When I zoom to 300% part of the image shows up. If I scroll or use the hand and move the image side to side, the image erases to the left, out of the image frame, and re appears after mving it to the right, out of the image! |

What's your system setup? (RAM, OS etc)
Can you open the images in other programs?
And you ran Adobe Gamma and created a new profile for PS to use?
(I still think VC problem...) |
