Hello, I'm trying to put a building into cityscape in a different photo, but so far my efforts haven't made something that can pass off as realistic. My method has been basically:
- Selecting the building using the polygonal lasso tool
- Copying and pasting the selection into the other photo
- Using free transform to align it properly
- Using either Auto Color or Adjusting the Hue and Saturation to try and make the colors match.
My problem always seems to be that the pasted part of the photo doesn't have the same sharpness to it. I tried using the sharpen filter, but that doesn't really give me taht much control. Also, do any of you have any tips on how to make the edges look better? As in, my edges always look like they've been copied and pasted instead of a natural look.
Also, I've tried doing this with people, but that seems to be even harder. Anyway, I think I have the basic method down, but I just need tips on making it more realistic and maybe some corrections on stuff I'm doing wrong.
