I am scanning a large image and I need to color manage the image as a whole. After putting all of these pieces together on a new window, how do make it possible to color manage the entire piece as a whole.... it needs levels and curves. If I do each piece separately, they will all be different.
I'm thinking that if I flatten the image, it will work? I don't know. OPen for suggestions. |

By "color manage" do you mean color/contrast adjust? “Color management” is a specific term relating RGB and CMYK color editing spaces, monitor calibration/profile and device and medium profiles.
If you have a multi-layered doc and want to use Curves or Levels on the entire file, put an Adjustment Layer on top. This is the best practice regardless as it’s non-destructive, editable and comes with a layer-mask. |

Thanks. I meant if I had to change a hue, or curves on the entire image. |

Yes, just target the top layer in your file, then click on the "Half Moon" icon at the bottom of the layers palette. Choose your adjustment layer from there. Once you start using Adjustment Layers, you'll never go back to regular Image>Adjustments again. |
