Hey everyone this is my first post (just thought I'd put that out there) so I wanted to creat a background with Snake from MGS but it's looking a little plain right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can liviv' it up. I was thinking of distorting it a bit with lines going across, kind of an old tv effect but I'm not sure on how to do that.

and while I'm at it any suggestions for the sonic and mario. I would like to do a nice cross fade effect with the two for the background. Big Wink

I like your images....as far as a background on your characters, I don't know what those characters come from but maybe a nature scene or something like that in the background? A jungle scene or a war scene. Like I said, I don't know where those characters come from. Also....if your looking for tutorials on old film look I found a couple for you.

Here's a security camera look.....

Here's a tv line one......

Another one for tv scanlines....

And another one....

Not sure if any of that is what your looking for, but that will get ya started. Have fun!

I'd add some grunge to the background on the first one...rough it up a little.

Good thinking, maybe a jungle or something for the right side.
