There have been quite a few changes between the two, probably the main ones from a general point of view are, vanishing point filter, exposure ajustment feature, shadow/highlight ajustment, photo filters, extra transform options, theres a red eye tool, smart objects, some new healing brush/patch tool features, theres others too but off the top of my head those are the ones that come to mind (and I haven't had my second coffee yet so i'm usless! lol) Wayne

theres more info here.

Type along Path and Area Type... what else... I think the Brush engine was totally redone for PS7. Was Liquify in PS6? (Also need that 2nd cup-a-joe!)

(if your machine is a tad wimpy, stick with PS6. PSCS2 is very demanding on a computer's resources.)

6, 7 and CS run fine on a PIII as long as you have some memory...would not even try CS2. it would die on the boot-up. lol

My CPU can handle CS2 (or I'd even be happy with CS) - the problem is getting either of those for beyond thirty days w/o paying hundreds of bucks I don't have to spend on a graphics program.

Well, it's a pro app.
Adobe Photoshop Elements does 90% of what Photoshop does for a fraction of the cost.

About how much is it (if you know off the top of your head)? What would I not be getting by getting that instead of Creative Suite 2

Maybe $100 USD?
http://www.adobe.com
for prices.
Uh.. right off the top of my head.. no CMYK, no Curves, no Layer Masks (but I think there is a work-around to get layer masks)...
It comes with a good pic organizer, and I think it comes with Adobe Camera Raw (that alone is worth the price)
I'm sure lots of little features are missing. But a good app nonetheless.

What about any of those compared to GIMP?

EDIT: Nvm, I'll make a new topic.
