I've emailed an action to a friend so that he can run it on a batch of images. it involves adding a layer witha al ayer style of pattern overlay. From CS2's default patterns it uses one called "metal landscape". When my friend runs the action on his images on his computer, he says there's no pattern. I can only assume that the pattern is not on his computer, and that's why it doesn't show up. Do you think there's any way I could get the pattern saved as a single tileable images so that ic an email it to him?

thanks for nay help.

I've never done it but wouldn't you be able to go into Photoshop CS2 / presets / patterns..? (.pat files) attach it to an e-mail and send it?
Then they would add it to their preset / pattern file..
Sounds good don't know if it works..
Good luck,
Lasa

I seem to remember that PS has extra brushes, gradients, and patterens hidden in presets, which you can load, maybe you loaded yours and your friend didn't? The other option allready suggested is to e.mail yours. Click the pattern tool then click the drop down box (with the different patterns in it) and at the top right is a small arrow in a circle, click that and you get the load or save options (and a few others)

I just checked and there are other patterns in presets, click the load button and brows to them, these are the ones show in mine. Wayne

I don't htink that the pattern set that he has curently loaded would affect the patterns available to the action, but i will suggest that to him. And I will email him the pattern from the path lasa suggested. I'll get back with news of our hopeful succes when my friend gets back to me,
thanks for the help!
