hi. ok here's the situation. i created the collage below as a 11x17in image
http://www.westlabs.biz/~mhalweg/displayimage.php?album=64&pos=7

i've been asked this team to create their 22x16 inch team poster for the upcoming season. what i'd like to do is start the collage as a 22x16 and then decrease it to a propotional smaller size so that it doesn't take as long to process the stuff i do on the collage and then when i'm finished with it increase it back up to the 22x16 size. will the picture quality of say the individual player pics get lower bc i increased the size or will everything be okay? the dpi of every part of the collage is 300. hope this makes sense. thanks

matt

Let me see if I have this right, your going to resize the image smaller, make alterations, then resize it back up again? I have heard of this being done on layer ajustments, which were then applied to the full size image, but I'm not sure I would do it to the main picture
Personaly I'd suspect the image will suffer some loss of quality, but how much, and whether it's offset by not up-sizing in the first place is hard to say. Wayne
