Transparent? You can select a color in PS, then shift+click with Paint Bucket Tool in the grey area around the canvas to change the color (while in Full Screen Mode w/menu: hit the F key once to get to that mode). Don’t know how to make transparent…
and welcome to the PS Forums! |

Thanks for the welcome.
What I am wanting to do is have photoshop running but be able to see my desktop and folders. To do this I need to "clear" the standard grey work area by making it transparent.Hope I am explaining this correctly. |

Maybe you were on a Mac before?
Our PC IT guy here didn't know of a way. When you made it transparent before.. was it through a Photoshop setting or your OS? |

Think it was a photoshop setting but cannot remember if it was using keyboard or a setting in photoshop.
Thought you only need a mac when it was raining! |

LOL!!! Mac when it's raining! LOL!!!
I've only ever seen this on a Mac, never on a PC. If you've done this before, it might have been some sort of a plugin or patch or something of that sort. Years ago, Macs would do it automatically, not sure about today's macs though. Still, I've never seen this done one a PC before. Sorry I couldn't offer a better answer, but if you do find a way to do this, please let us know! _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |
