o ya that like killed more for a long time.

well for me i rotoscope for lightsabers.

so i open my .flm.

then ya know i do new layer and use the polylagonal and block out all of the lightsabers, fill it with white and so on. but i dont block them all out in one swing. so like i am rotoscoping, for an hour. then i save it. if you save it as a .flm it will flatten all of the layers and u will turn out with like white beams coming out of the half of the lightsabers (if you arent done rotoscoping.)

you know what i am saying?

so you are going along in the .flm

then when you want to save ur progress (u r not finished at this point.), save it as a .psd.

so then u open ur .psd to work on it. alright now when u r dun u want to save as a .flm and it dosnt say you cannt.

now here is a how i do it with a lightsaber.

step one. take ur glow layer(s) flattten image.

step two. open ur original .flm beside it. and (PAY ATTENTION) then now u have a backround layer from the psd and the backround layer from the .flm

now have the psd highlighted and pull the backround layer from the psd onto the flm. now in my pic it doesnt show my pointer/hand dragging but it is there.

alright now you should have something like this. layer 1 and backround. now layer 1 is the lighsaber glow+backround from the .psd. now delete the backround layer. (the backround layer u r deleting is from the .flm.)

now you have one layer on the flm.

go to save as, and do the pull down and select filmstrip.

that was kinda vague if you need more help just say.

i have to go to work in an hour but i have the next 36 hrs to figure this out

cool

now idk if you did this but this is what i do

open ur .flm

then make a new screen layer with black

alright now u have that layer then block out the lightsaber and fill it with white. then do this for every frame. THIS SUX AND TAKES FOREVER

but u gotta do it.

now beffore you go and make all of these lightsabers, i would reccommend just doing the lightsaber on a signle image. to understand what you are doing.

alright well that will be in my next post cuz that will take awhiel to type and i want u to read this

now on that one picture with the white in the backround, nvm the white, i just made a new pic and then did the layer.

you should have ur .flm in the backround and do the new layer.

know what i am saying?

So i have it all finished in photoshop, but when i go to "save as" there is no filmstrip option????, shouldnt there be that option?

please advise, im so close

also, i didnt add the flicker because i wasnt sure how to group the layers, is that the "ctrl e" to group?

thanks, up all night sleep all day hehehe
