Ok, I made a layout and when I save it it looks great! So I decided to slice it and save it as web since it is now complete, but than it looks terrable because the quality SUX! how can i fix this? I have tried all image types.

There should be a pull-down menu for image quality or compression.

the problem is probably in what you're doing in the save for web dialog box. if you're not seeing any change when you change image type, you need to click on a slice. A slice that is selected will look like it will when you save. An unselected slice looks sort of white-ish. You can select multiple slices and change their save options by clicking and dragging over them or by holding shift or alt i think.
