I'v got an image with a picture of myself. The background is a cupboard. I'd like to know how do I extend the image toward the right with the same background(extending the cupboard longer). So that I can add in another person. Do help me out in this. I assume there's something to do with canvas size, just don't know what. :) thanks!

Well, Image | canvas size will extend your canvas, but did you want to continue the cupgoard onward and fill the added space with cupboards? if so, you'll want to experiment with the clone stamp tool.

If your extending a uniform area (like a wardrobe) try drawing a rectangle with the marquee tool over a suitable bit of the wardrobe and copy paste it, then with the move tool drag it left or right as needed, you can extend a lot faster than with the clone tool, but it does depend on the image, in some cases the clone tool might be your best bet as GP says.
