Hello everyone, my first post here. Sorry in advance for asking a silly question as my first post.
I'm a graphics design major at my local community college. The problem I have is driving 45 min just to do homework in the MAC computer labs at school. Not only are the lab hours inconsistent, they border insanity at times. Do they really expect me to show up at the computer labs at 7am just to stay for an hour and a half before they kick me out and let some other sucker use the computer?
My question is this: If I were to purchase Photoshop CS for a PC, would my assignments be able to open on Photoshop CS on a MAC? I've been told yes and no and would like to get to the bottom of this.
Im saving for a MAC as it is, but in the meantime I need something else to work out. Thanks guys! _________________ i want my money for nothin and chicks for free |

I was in a yearbook class last year, and we had macs at the school. The macs and my home pc had cs on them, and I used PSD's and TIFF's freely between the two without any problems, so yes they are compatible.
One point for potential confusion- I brought files back and forth on a USB memory stick (files too large to email) and found that a mac actually save two files for each image, one of which is the thumbnail, so make sure you open the right one. (you can delete the thumbnail in windows if it's annoying) _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |
