Hi all,
I am trying to get photoshop CS2 as my default software for images. It use to work fine until I installed Microsoft Office 2003. The problem is when i insert a CD of images the microsoft office icon appears and loads the image in that format. So how do i change it back to photoshop?
I also right click on the image and go to open with menu, but i dont want to do this for evry time I want to see a image in photoshop.
Thankyou JOSEL |

What the problem seams like to me is when you installed Office AFTER you had installed Photoshop CS, Office 2003 had defaulted any . jpg or .gif image to open up within it's program. This is a common thing that MICROSOFT does. Here is how to correct it:
Open your "my pictures" folder and right click once on any .jpg image. (You will have to do this same thing only one time for different types of images you wish to open - weather it be .gif or .tiff because Office has defaulted those types of files too more than likly.)
A pop up window will appear after you have right clicked on the photo, move your mouse cursor down to "Open with..." do not click anything yet.
A slide window will appear and from there move your mouse cursor down to "Choose program..." and left click one time.
Scroll down where you see photoshop CS icon and left click on it one time only.
Put a check mark in the box where it says "Always use the selcted program to open this type of file." To place a check mark in the box, move your mouse cursor over top of the box and left click once.
Press return on your keyboard and close any open windows.
You should now beable to open any .jpg photo from your browser right into Photoshop CS. _________________ Qubert |
