i was thinknig of wearing white sheets sort of loosely draped around me. Making a fairly large (maybe 8 or 9 feet) frame covered in plywood and painted to make it look like a cross, putting metal spikes out of the palms of my hands with some fake blood. Whenever I got to someone's house I'd lift my hands up in front of the cross so it'd look like I'm stapled to it, and stand with my feet close together so it's fairly realistic. The cross would be attached to my back like a back-pack, so it'd be fairly easy to walk and I wouldn't have to hold my arms up there the whole time.
One problem. people tell me that people may get offended. And it's ben suggested to me that I get someone to film the action at every house. that way I can present it as "performance art" at university. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

GP: I tend to agree with "people",.I don't see a real need to make light or mock somebodies belief...but so be it...you got to do what you got to do...
enjoy

It's just disrespectful. The fact that you're filming it doesn't help. Personally, I don't think you should go for it. You may find that some people will fight for what they believe in. Sounds like an interesting idea though. I'd like to see the finished costume if you do it. _________________ Best Regards,

There's been too much opposition for me to fell I should actuallly do it.
About "making light" other people's beliefs, I do not fell that simply representing them is "making light", particularly since I was wating to do it realistically, as opposed to using satirical imagery. filming it would have been pushing it though....
If you're offended simply by seeing a symbol of something you suport or believe in, it's a sad state of affairs. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

on a lighter note:
who's making pumpkins? I'm afraid I'm not this year (left it too late),
but I've heard that puking pumpkins are a new trend. Apparently they involve a pumpkin with a big round mouth, and the pumpkin innards falling out down a set of stairs, possibly even onto another pumpkin which makes a disgusted face. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |
