Hi folks,
I finished drawing my design in photoshop, but after I saved it and then closed the program, I found out that when I wanted to modify the image, photoshop wouldn't let me select the individual layers which were present before I saved it the first time.
So I just wanted to know how to access the layers again in order to modify the individual elements used to produce the image.
Thanks in advance.

Did you save it as PSD file? PSD and TIFF are the only file extensions that preserve the layers all others merge them upon saving.
If you saved as a Jpeg or Gif the dif. layers info was lost.

Haha, thanks but I found out that it was the file format which confused me. I originally saved it as a JPG file and then I recreated the image but this time saving it as a PSD file.
Now everything is fine. Thanks anyway.
