Selection in CS2 Photoshop

Please can anyone tell me how to do a selection of an object which has been deep etched ans resides on a layer, in previous versions the keyboard command on Mac OS X used to be, while holding down the command (Apple) key I click on the layer with the object and a perfect selection is made around the deep etched object. This fails to work on Photoshop CS2
