Hey guys I am new here. Anway, is there a way to reset only the text tool? I know I can reinstall the entire program or just delete all the preferences, but I would rather not. This is what is happening. I will use the text tool, type something, and normally when I hit enter, it puts a break and goes to the next line. It no longer does this. As soon as i hit enter, the cursor quits blinking, but I can still type on that layer, it just doesnt show up. So if anyone knows anything, that would be awesome...
There was also another question I had. Whenever I make a new document, the page starts out as a slice. Its not that big of a deal, but there are the annoying blue lines around the document. So if anyone knows how to change the default on that one, that would also be awesome. |

Open your Character palette and choose Reset Character in the palette menu (under the flippy triangle).
Also, make sure you were not drawing out a text box with your type tool. |

oh i also figured out the other question. Under edit>prefrences>guides, grids, rulers, you just unclick where it says show slice numbers. Im guessing when i start working with web and need slices, ill want to turn that back on. Anyway, i have my questions answered. |
