Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone out there could advise me on what photoshop skills i should brush up on for a test I have to take for a photoshop job. The job is taking people and possibly changing their clothing and maybe making some blemishes dissapper. This is for a company that produces trading cards. Has anyone taken a test like this before and if so, could you advise me on what skills are essential?
thanks!!!!!! |

I'd be guessing, but I'd go for the clone tool, replace colour and select colour, the hue/saturation palette, levels and curves (for basic ajustments) and adding text, although that might be done at a later stage, and the lasso tool for making selections. Good luck. Wayne |

I would expect selections of all sorts...people, hair, bushes.. you name it.
A lot of people concentrate on the cool fun stuff and forget about the day by day extract which will make or break most images.
pen tool and masking.

Above all you must have speed. Know your shortcuts. Retouching professionaly is a cost consuming excersice and empoyees will not pay for slow work.

I would brush up on the alpha channels and the Pen tool, as well as layer masks and clone/ healing brush tools JUST to start with. and how to use the G Blur function to make blemishes go away in conjuction with layermasks would be an usefull app. _________________ Qubert |
