I just bought the CS2 upgrade but Im not sure if I can use it. I have photoshop 4.0 on my computer. I called Adobe customer service and was told that even though I have the license for my copy of 4.0 since it was pre-owned and I don't know the previous owners name I cannot register it. What does this mean? Can I install and use the upgrade or not? They never said I couldn't use it just that I wouldn't be able to register it..What happens when I need to Activate it? I am pretty confused and will probably be taking it back.. |

If you have a registered (in your name) version of Photoshop, any version, you can upgrade. Even cross-platform.
Best would have been to obtain a written, authorized transfer of ownership when you purchased PS 4 from the seller. |
