Using a normal picture can some tell me how to come up with a similar look as this photo. I tried several things but nothing quite looks the same.

not quite following you, do you want to be able to re-create the football helmet, or the background, or the text, or what?

What exactly are you trying to duplicate..the colors? Font? background?
The back seems to be some form of reflected gratient based on the color of the longhorn on the helmet.

First of all go to file/ new and create a new background the size you need, next fill the background with the darker of the colour you need (here a sort of brown) then set the 2 colours on the left toolbar to your dark and lighter colour (here dark and light brown) then select the gradient tool, and check that the light to dark colour gradient and the center stripe are selected (see pic)and drag a short line in the middle of your pic till you have the light area. Now it's time to copy and paste your football helmet on, copy the layer and using transform, drag the top layer upside down to create the reflection, alter the opacity to make it more convincing. Hope that helps wayne

I'm looking to duplicate the helmet. Trying to get that sort of transparent effect. Almost like a ice scuplture or crystal look to it.
This maybe a better picture of it.

It looks like a type of tonal inversion.
Maybe with a gradient map.
Maybe just ctrl+I with some color and levels adjusting. See pic

cbadland,
What did you do to get what you got?
I did the invert and the levels but doesn't look like yours, did you do something else? Thanks

Ctrl+I plus Auto Levels should get you real close. I just brightened up a little afterwards.
