Looks good so far..to start with...you might want to add the right arm and right ear...also unless BDK's only have one arms and one long ear...., maybe add a pupils to the eye unless your going for the blind Bat-Dino-Monkey look, and lastly COLOR needs color and some shading to bring BDK" to life...

Buy a tablet. Absolutely a MUST if you're going to do digital art.
First, give him another arm and ear. His feet look weird having only two claws each, also. The other major thing you have to take into account is anatomy. Think about it...how would this creature move? His arms are so much longer than his legs, so he either has to waddle with his knuckles dragging or do a weird upright-quadruped thing. Neither way would really work.
Then get to work on painting the colors.
Digital painting in Photoshop is technically simple, but difficult to do well until you've got practice. Press lightly on your tablet, building up large-scale color tones and shades that give the beast a coherent lighting scheme. Then start small-scale detailing. Finally, hide all the linework and add finishing touches. Check out www.conceptart.org/forums for some inspiration.
P.S. Be careful of oversaturation! Many materials rarely go above 50% saturation. That colorization that swanseamale47 did is pumped up to almost 100% saturation. No offense, but it really needs to be a lot lower.

Get a fur brush or something and give him some hair.
