Turning a car/truck silver isn't the easiest of the colors..silver is very tricky to make look real, not plasitcy. I personally would isolate the truck and add a silver type gradient map..this way it retains the tone of the truck as it stands.
The I would do the same to the hood.
Take shades of the blue on the second picture to make your hood gradient map.
A place specializing in what you want to do is Photoshopchop...

Good luck,

I was so busy try to make the car silver I didn't focus on the details of the car.....never did get it as silver and still look semi-real. It would go from chome crazy / white to a nice gray but avoiding the silver..
Still think the gradient map is the way to go.

My Firewall gives me a warning on that image:
[217] Microsoft Multiple Application/OS GDI+ JPEG Processing Buffer Overflow Vulnerability attempt detected (CAN-2004-200)
I would be careful with it.

if you ever get that message, and you don't have the Windows fix for it, just hit 'print screen' the image will be saved as a clipboard image. Open PS and a canvas 1024x768 or( what ever screen res you use) 72dpi and 'edit>paste'
