Nice stripe, how can i do it ? :P (help!)

Hi. I'm changing design of my site now and I have find very interesting stripe:



I really want to make similar stripe, i've got nice shape, but blue colour

without those effects is ugly...

If someone knows how can I make this stripe please, i beg You - help :) I don't

want You to make it for me, it is too much for a guy whom You don't even know,

but if someone could write what should i do i would be veeery grateful.

Any effect that involves shadows and highlight being added to a shape can be made with layer styles.
1-make your curvy shape
2-right-click on the shape layer and go to blending options
3-fool around with inner shdow, inner glow, and bevel and emboss.

THose exact effects you showed, however, may require a little additional brushwork with black and white layer on multiply and screen modes, grouped with the shape layer.
