hi. would like some help on this. i just want to arc the word platteville as the image shows. i can't figure out how. pretty sure it's easy but still can't do. thanks

Ok, you need to open the file with the text in, and click on the text layer, then, press t, to start using the text tool, and highlight the text you want to arc, then, near the top of the photoshop window, under the bar with the words file, edit, select etc, there should be another small bar, with your font size and font in it etc, find the little icon on thast bar, that has a picture of the letter T, with a small curved arrow next to it, if you move your mouse over it, it will tell you its the text warp tool, click on that with your text highlighted, and select the arc option, or the one that looks most similar, and your done,

k i think that's what i did to get university of wisconsin to arc. but i'll read it again and try it in bout 40 min or so. i just couldn't get the platteville to arc like the UofW just in other direction. thanks for input

No problem, if you wanna get it to go in the other directioin, just play with the sliders in the text warp dialog box

Sorry, cant really help you then, unless you were to rasterize the layer the text was on, and press ctrl t, for free transform, and then right click on the text, and select distort or something like that, thats my last idea, sorry

Yeh, thats one of the only problems with photoshop, although its a great program for almost everything, it makes the simplest things things hard
