Okay, I use Photoshop to create textures for my 3D models which are then imported into a program called Warcraft III. My issue is that the TGA format of the texture is perfectly fine, however once the texture is placed in-game, the quality lowers quite a bit. When I asked on the Warcraft forums I got this responce:
Quote: | You know how quake skins work?
You make the photoshop skin and then adjust the colors pallete in the tester.
Warcrafts color pallete cannot be changed so far as I know of... |
He is correct in the fact that the Warcraft color palletes cannot be modifited, however that does not mean I cant set the correct pallete in photoshop. How can I adjust the image's color pallete so that the image shows how it should?
How it appears before transfer into Warcraft III:
How it appears after transfer:

I think you might be able to get some useful answers on SDK sites, or you can just play around with it and hope for the best Thats some quite impressive stuff to me though, good luck...

Moddifying the game's default SDK files is not a solution, it removes the ability for the game to be played on multiplayer. I know this issue can be resolved in photoshop. |
