How can I batch process digital photos to make them all the same reduced size when they are oriented differently? |

In my experience, that doesn't work. You have to order your files into groups. One horizontal, one vertical, then run your batch processing from there.

Thanks!! |

Agreed. You can make an action (or include it in an action) to rotate your images 90 degrees either cw or ccw, but photoshop won't do it automatically, and I've yet to see a program that'll do it. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |

It's too bad Photoshop doesn't have a scripting language... _________________ Best Regards,

My way of doing this for my web sites is to use Eazy Thumbnail it's free software and it does the job very well, you can select the size you want and it batch processes the pics. You can get it from.

Wow. I didn't even know that existed. I did some searching online and I found a bunch of scripts, but I haven't found anything that tells you how to implement the scripts...
Why do you stay far away from it? _________________ Best Regards,

Because I'm just not a computer/coding guy. GUI is about all I can handle. (Artist and kind of techno-phobic... real "right brain" for most stuff!) |

Thanks for all the tips. First of all, Eazy Thumbnail won't work for me since I'm a Mac guy (as I said before, just one of the 4400...) I did look into that scripting stuff for PS, and although I'm certain it will work, it's way beyond my skills. If anyone has a clue where I can get that script, I'd buy them a Snickers bar, giant size. |
