help. I have this picture of my car that i really like but i would like to clean it up a bit and really brighten up my car, and the wheels and make it stand out some more against the background. any advice would be awesome. im a TOTAL NOOB and don't know a thing about photoshop... also how do i post the photo?[/img]

you need to host the image with an image host, and then copy and paste the url of the image inbetween [IMG]-[/IMG] tags, then we can help you advice wise

okay here it is... id really like to brighten up the car itself, make it stand out, and brighten up the wheels at well..... sorry for this only being 800x600 any suggestions or help would be awesome... thanks in advance guys

Here's a subtle bright job...you probably would like more...
Anyway depending on how much time you want to dedicate to it heres a very quick way..painless way.
Duplicate the original layer. The open a blank layer on top of the background copy...
set its layer mode to Overlay. Grab a white soft brush at 100% opacity and paint the car only. The car will look horrible, so reduce the layer opacity to say 25% ahhh the car will look brighter.
If the wheels aren't bright enough, make another empty layer above the prevoius one with the layer mode again to Overlay and paint the wheels...again it will look bad reduce the opacity of the layer until you're happy.
There are other ways by selecting the car etc... but I think this would work for you.
