|

When I scan images for my work I usually scan around 20 and they come out being approximately 25 megs each and at a huge resolution. It takes me a while to format everyone of them at a height of 768 and a visual quality of 3 (while saving). Is there a way to apply this formatting to all the images at once?
Thanks in advance
btw i use photoshop CS2 |

You mayhave noticed there's a pallette entitled "actions". an action is a list of commands that you create. You can then aplly all these commands to an image with the pres of one button. You can use an action for anything that involves doing the same thing to more than one image. Open you first image, then click "record" on the actions aplette and make you alterations. After saving and closing the image, stop recording. You can dsignate the sction to be run whenever you press a certain funtcion key, F2 for example. All you'll need to do to process 20 images is press F2 20 times. Sure beats doing it by hand. I'm not an expert in this field, so I suggest you try "actions" in photoshop help. Another user may also have some more additions to make.
welcome to the forums, and have fun with photoshop. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

For the same action on multiple images, you can run a Batch Action. (File>Automate>Batch) Or create an Action Droplet and drag your folder of images to the droplet icon to run an action on all in one step. |
