Where are the preference files located for Photoshop 6.0.1? If I delete them, will photoshop automatically reinstall them? I'm having problems with photoshop not saving my settings for my brushes and clone tool etc., and I've already uninstalled and installed both my tablet and photoshop, and the problem persists. I've emailed Wacom (the company that made my tablet) and they said that I've got a program that's keeping photoshop from saving to the preference file, and to fix it I had to turn off my antivirus, uninstall and reinstall photoshop and it should fix the problem. It didn't, so now I'm looking to manually delete the preference files and let photoshop reinstall/recreate them.
Any and all help here would be greatly appreciated. Also, any other ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day.
I'm not sure if this applies to PS6, but holding down Shift+Alt+Ctrl (Shift+Opt+Cmd Mac) WHILE LAUNCHING PS will bring up a dialog to reset preferences. Reinstalling program does not delete preferences.

Yep, that worked. I had forgot about doing that to reset the preferences. It reset everything, then finally held my settings. Now, when I set a tool (ie airbrush) to a low opacity, and turn the stylus setting to off, it remembers it and keeps it for the next time that I restart photoshop.
Thanks! _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day.
