Waht do you think about splash pages? I just want to know if most people find them annoying, or if you think they're acceptable.
My istuation is I'm designing a website for my portfolio. I have a seperately styled page for digital and traditional art. Should I have a splash page where the uer just clicks on digital or traditional, or should it just automatcally go to digital so the user has to link to traditional (or vice sersa)
Thanks for your opinions. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

Personally, I'd go with a link. That way, it won't take so long for a page to load, and there won't be a billion images on just one page. Besides that, most people like to "browse" the internet, and clicking on links will help to entertain them. _________________ All gave some, some gave all.....Lest we forget that war produces veterans, wounded both mentally and physically, and it is our job to help them now, as they have already helped us all in ways we will never know, and in ways that we take for granted every day. |

That is true, but I also have to consider that a person who comes to my site to look at my portfolio may be looking for a specific thing, and it should be as easy as possible for them to find it. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |
