I know its a long shot but... Is it possible to make photoshop cut an image in 16x16 tiles and save them as sepearate images?
The problem is, the tiles repeat and I don't want repeats, I just want the core tiles used in the image. iF you understand its like this.
ACEFDB
BCDFEA
DAFEBC
Each letter represents a 16x16 tile, from this i want to get 6 seperate images, A, B, C, D, E, and F
EDIT: This is Photoshop 7 I am using if that matters. |

HTat doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The only thing I can think of is slicing it and exporting without the html, but I really don't know what you're talking about. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

Ok, I have an image. 1024x1024. I need to cut the image into 16x16 tiny images, (4096 images) and then remove any repeats there might be in the 4096 final images. |

Go to view>new guide and type in 16 px, then anpther at 32 px, 48, 64, etc, etc. Then do it again for vertical. Put snap on, and when you use the marquee it'll snap to your "grid" _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

woops, scrap that, that was a terrible idea. Go to edit-preferance-grid guide and slice. set the grid size to 16 pixels. Then go to view-show-grid. Once again put on snap and draw a selection, it should snap to the grids. Just crop, save, udo, move the selection, crop, save, etc... it'll be slow though, better you than me. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

The plan will leave me with around 16384 seperate images, so I need some way to automatically cut them out |

drag a guide to each grid. With snap. From imageready, create slices from guides. Save for web but without the html, as you probably don't need it. THen you';; have them all nicely named and in a handy folder, it'd be perfect _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

Ok, I got it with I think your help, Thanks.
In image ready you View;Create guides and create them 16 pixels in height, 16 in width.
Then go to slices and create slices from guide.
Alot simpler than I thought. |

glad to hear it. i knew about "create slices from guides", but I'm not very familiar with imageready, so I didn't know about the guide create thing. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |
