could not initialize photoshop because there is not enough memory (RAM)
I have just started getting this error when I open Photoshop 7.0.1...
Funny thing - this machine has 2GB of RAM, and both drives have over 100Gb of free drive space... I was litterally using PS, then shut it down, then opened it again - and got this error.... I have reinstalled PS a couple of times, and it makes no difference..
I cannot find a solution for this at all! I have cleaned out temp folders... everything.

Bad RAM modules... You may have 2GBs in there but are they working properly? Otherwise I'd try restarting your computer. What operating system? I am again assuming windows.

Have you ever changed the amount of RAM that photoshop uses in the prefereces section, cos my mate had this problem once, and that something had set photoshop to use 0% memory, and so it wouldnt load it, cos 0% memory is nothing, so photoshop thinks there isnt enough ram, but i dunno how he fixed it, and there isnt any way of editing the preferences without photoshop loading, so i dont really know, sorry _________________ www.jerseyhacker.co.uk
