Hi, this is my first post. I was wondering if there was a way to take a shaded pencil drawing and make the lines pure black in phososhop. Also I cant put color in the parts that are shaded, maybe it cant recognize the color or something.

So you have a drawing on white paper with black lines and gray shading, and you want to make only the lines pure black without making the shading black? Just go Image>Adjust>Auto Levels.

If you want to color the shading, create a new layer with the blending mode set to Color. Then paint whatever colors you want onto that new layer. This won't work on white or black areas, though.
