hey guys , i have an old civil war document i would like to fix up the text is somewhat faded, and would like to brighten it up, but by just enlarging and filling in the pixels on the letters doesnt look all that great , can anyone recomend another way or is there a a trick to it, im running photoshop 5. thanks fred

Have you tried increasing the contrast?, without seeing it I'd be hard put to suggest much else, sometimes duplicating the layer and playing with the blend modes helps. Wayne
