Hi all, ive just been experimenting, and got abit bored, so i tried to re-create my TV/Monitor from scratch in photoshop, using no tutorials or anything

so, this is my tv/monitor, done entirely by me from scratch in photoshop with no tuts or anything

ill try and post up a picture in this forum of the real thing, but this is what i managed to do:

nice its a bit chunky and squashed is it meant to be like that or what?

aside from the horizontal distortion, You appear to have the old 'Photoshop bevel problem [ top of the screen vs. bottom of the screen.]
Here's a way around it. Cut the screen in half horizontally. Save the good half ( the one with the better bevel effect) as a .png and place it back in your illust. flip it vertically and marry it with the original bottom. Now you've got the same bevel at the top as the bottom.
Once it's converted there is no active bevel data in the image.

I did a quick example see how the top of the screen has the same bevel
as the bottom now? I didn't do anything else to it such as the top of the case or the screen

Heres mine im kinda new to photoshop and the bottom is a bit dodgy but im happy with it Big Grin ill try my tower next!

Wow, thanks for the advice, its chunky cos my monitor is widescreen and its quite chnuky, thanks ronmatt, and nice work eMir, its better than mine lol!

haha are you serious oh i didnt think it was that chunky lol wat is your resolution 1600 x 1200 or something lol.
