I either use my own brushes, which i make myself, or i download them in packs, i have a hell of a lot of brushes which i have inherited over time, i have like 2000+ brushes, so i cant really say where i got them from as it would take too long, but there is alot of good brushes out there, and its not always what brushes you have, its how you use them!

The avatar is great, considering the size limit it gets everything in. Good job on that.

deviantart has lots of good brush sets, I have got a few from other websites but thats only a few - deviantart I'd say is probably the best resource for brushes (free aswell).

The 2nd entry to the SOTW is very good Tom, so much I'm going to type the next few words in Bork Bork text:

Funtestic seeg Thumes, yuoo're-a getting fery guud noo, und I veell geefe-a yuoo a lul tuu.

OK, well thanks for your compliments dude!

Right, i for the line border, create a new layer, and then select all (ctrl+a), and go to edit > stroke and set it too 7px and black, and then click apply, then, go to edit>stroke again, and do 8px and a dark grey, and finally, do it once more, with 10px, and white, and then change the blend mode to soft light, hope that helped you owyn, and as far as the line thing you reffered to on the pro. pwnage (my clan) create a new layer, and use the marquee tool, to make a selection like mine, going along the image horizontally, and then fill it with white, and then lower the opacity of that layer to like %30 - %50 (or lower) until it looks good, once thats done, go to blending option of that layer (right click the layer with the white line on it, and go to blending options) and select stroke, white, 2px, and set opacity to like %60

Hope that was understandable, if you dont undersatand anything, or want more techniques, ust ask mate

thanks for your opinion!

Question on the line border: when you add the strokes, what are the full stroke settings, because currently my photoshop strokes do nothing (They don't appear). I think I may have mis-set one of the options, could you please list what you're using for it. Everything on the box. Blending mode, location, whatever. Thanks.

Yous ave the original .psd, befor e you add the stroke, for backup issues, then i find the best way to apply it, is to merge all the layers, into one layer, and then duplicate the only layer you have, then apply a blak stroke of 9px, a grey stroke of 10, and a white stroke of 12, and set the layer mode to soft light

Thing is, when I do that nothing shows up. When I put the first stroke in, nothing happens. Second, nothing, third nothing.

Did you mean to set each of the strokes to soft light or the new layer you make at the start? Because I did the layer at the start.

EDIT: Works now when I flatten the image. Thx
