Any one know why my tools keep defaulting to the default settings for the tablet? They do it every now and again, and it's more of a pain then anything. My clone tool, brush, pencil etc. reverts to having the stylus pressure etc. turned on, so when I use my tablet, it really messes me up. It's easy to fix, but I don't know why all of a suddne it changes back. The only thing I did today was different from any other day was to go into my taskbar/startmenu and clear the lists of recently opened programs.

Hmmmm....actually, if I went to File>purge>All, would that screw up those settings? I haven't played with my tablet settings at all in probably 6 months.

I would tend to think that purging all wouldn't help, because these setting must be written to a file somewhere on the HD, which won't be purged. Other than that, I have no ideas. Ensure that any drivers are installed. Oh and do you unplug the tablet between using PS? because if you did, the device would be re-detected when you plug it in and put back to it's defaults, which may efect PS's. or at least that would make sense to me.

Nope, I don't unplug the tablet ever. Heck, I hardly even restart my comp. Losing my brush/stamp etc. settings is just one of those freak things that happens every once in a while, and I can't seem to figure out why or how. I figured that I'd ask around in here in the hopes of some one might know. I know how to change the settings back, but I just get flustered when they go away.
